Overview
The Gates Cambridge Scholarship supports outstanding students from outside the UK to pursue any postgraduate programme at the University of Cambridge. Recipients receive full tuition remission together with a generous annual stipend and additional allowances for travel and dependents. The award aims to build a global network of leaders committed to improving lives worldwide. Applications close on 6 January 2027.
Who can apply
- Must be a citizen of any country other than the United Kingdom (Nigeria is eligible)
- Must apply for a Cambridge postgraduate programme (PhD, MLitt, or one‑year master’s)
- Open to both full‑time and part‑time PhD candidates
