How can we help?
Answers to the most common questions about accounts, applications, Premium, and more. Can't find what you need? Reach out at the bottom of the page.
Account & Login
How do I verify my email address?
After signing up, we email you a verification link. You need to actually click the confirm button on that page — simply opening the email doesn't verify anything, since some email apps automatically preview every link before you even read the message. Didn't get it, or did the link expire? You can request a new one from the login page; links are valid for 24 hours.
Why is it asking me for a code from a new device?
We recognize the browser you normally sign in from. The first time you log in from a different one — a new phone, a different browser, or after clearing your cookies — we pause the login and email a 6-digit code to confirm it's really you. Once verified, that device stays trusted for 60 days. If you get this prompt and didn't just try to log in yourself, change your password right away.
Why was my account temporarily locked?
After 5 incorrect password attempts, your account locks automatically for 15 minutes — no admin action needed, it clears itself. If your account gets locked a second time, we'll require a password reset the next time you log in, since a repeat lockout usually means either you've genuinely forgotten your password or someone else is trying to guess it.
What are the password requirements?
At least 8 characters, including one uppercase letter, one lowercase letter, one number, and one symbol (like ! @ # or $). This is checked as you type and enforced again on our end, so it can't be skipped.
How do I turn on two-factor authentication (2FA)?
From Settings, turn on 2FA and scan the QR code with any authenticator app — Google Authenticator, Authy, 1Password, and similar apps all work, since we use the same standard (TOTP) they all support. After that, logging in requires your password plus a fresh 6-digit code from the app.
How do I sign out of every device at once?
Settingshas a "Log out everywhere" button. One click invalidates every active session, on every device — including the one you're using right now. Use it immediately after changing your password if you think your account may have been accessed by someone else.
Can one account be both a candidate account and a recruiter account?
No — your account role (regular user or recruiter) lives on the same account, not as separate logins, so it's one or the other. If you need to browse opportunities as a candidate and also post jobs as a recruiter, use two separate email addresses for the two accounts.
How do I download or delete my account data?
Settingshas a "Download my data" option that exports your full profile, applications, saved opportunities, cover letters, and built resume as a file you can keep. There's also a "Delete account" option in the same place — this is immediate and permanent and removes everything tied to your account, so use it only once you're sure.
Applying to Opportunities
What's the difference between "Apply externally" and applying on NextLevel Hub?
Some opportunities are External — you're sent to the organization's own website to actually submit your application, and we just track that you applied. Others are Internal — you fill in your application (and any screening questions) directly on NextLevel Hub, and the recruiter reviews it here, in-platform, with no redirect involved.
Can I apply to the same opportunity more than once?
Applying again updates your existing application rather than creating a duplicate — our system prevents more than one application per person, per opportunity, at the database level. If you want to change something (like your notes or screening answers), just apply again with the update.
Why can't I apply to a listing I found?
Only opportunities currently marked as open ("Published") accept applications. If a listing has closed, been pulled, or is still pending review, applying to it is blocked — check the status badge on the listing for details.
What are screening questions?
For Internal opportunities, the recruiter can attach a short set of questions specific to that listing. You'll answer them right on the application page, and the recruiter sees your answers alongside your application when reviewing candidates — they're not used for External listings.
What's the difference between Saved and Applications?
Saved is your bookmark list — opportunities you want to come back to, organizable into folders, with no commitment implied. Applications is your actual tracker, moving through stages (Interested → Preparing → Applied → Interview → Offer, and so on) as you progress with each one.
What do Saved Searches do?
A Saved Search remembers a specific filter combination (like a keyword plus a category) so you can rerun it in one click from your dashboard, instead of resetting the filters every time. It's a shortcut, not an alert — it won't email you when new matches appear.
Premium & Payments
What does Premium unlock, and what's the free-plan limit?
On the Free plan, AI features reset every 24 hours: 3 Resume Studio analyses, 5 cover letters, and 10 AI Coach messages per day. Premium removes all three limits entirely — unlimited Resume Studio, Cover Letter Generator, and AI Coach, with no daily reset to wait for.
What are the Premium pricing tiers?
Monthly is ₦5,000 (or $3.60 for USD/crypto payers). Quarterly is ₦12,500 ($9.00) — about 17% cheaper per month than paying monthly. Yearly is ₦45,000 ($32.40) — 25% off, the best per-month rate. Full details on the Pricing page.
What payment methods are supported?
Paystack for Naira payments (cards, bank transfer, etc.), and NOWPayments for crypto or other international/USD payments. Pick whichever is easier for you at checkout — both grant the same Premium access.
Do I need to cancel Premium?
No. Premium isn't a subscription that renews automatically — it's a one-time payment for the period you chose (month, quarter, or year), and it simply expires on that date. There's nothing to cancel, and you won't be charged again unless you choose to renew.
Where can I see my payment history?
Your Billingpage lists every payment you've made, with the date, plan, amount, provider, and status (Success, Pending, or Failed) for each one.
I paid but I'm still showing as Free — what do I do?
Payments are usually confirmed within moments, but the confirmation can occasionally lag a few minutes behind your bank or payment provider. If your account still isn't showing Premium after that, contact supportwith the payment reference from your Billing page and we'll sort it out.
Resume Tools
How does the AI Resume Analyzer (Resume Studio) work?
Paste your resume's text into Resume Studio and it returns an estimated ATS-compatibility score plus specific, section-by-section feedback (Summary, Experience, Skills, Formatting, Education) — and pulls out real skills it finds to add to your profile automatically. This currently works from pasted text, not an uploaded file; if you'd rather keep an actual resume file on your profile, that's a separate upload (see below).
Can I upload a resume file, not just paste text?
Yes — your profile can store an actual resume file (PDF, DOC, or DOCX, up to 5MB) separately from the Resume Studio analyzer above. Every upload is automatically scanned for malware before it's accepted.
What's the difference between Resume Studio and Resume Builder?
Resume Studio reviews resume text you already have and scores it. Resume Builder is the opposite direction — it helps you build a resume from scratch, section by section, saved and editable in place, with a choice of three templates (Classic, Modern, Minimal).
How does the Cover Letter Generator work?
Generate a tailored cover letter in your chosen tone, optionally linked to a specific opportunity so the letter can reference it directly — or generate a general-purpose one with no opportunity attached. Free accounts get 5 a day; Premium is unlimited.
What is the AI Coach, and how many messages do I get for free?
The AI Coach is a chat you can use to ask career questions, get interview prep, or talk through your job search — it already knows your profile (education, skills, career interests) from your onboarding and resume analysis, so you don't need to re-explain your background before asking a question. Free accounts get 10 messages per day, on a rolling 24-hour basis; Premium removes the limit.
How does the AI mock interview work?
From Interviews, start a practice session for a role and industry you choose — it's a real spoken conversation with an AI interviewer, not a list of written questions. When it ends you get a scored report (per-answer feedback plus category sub-scores) and a full transcript you can revisit any time from your Interviews list. HR/general-screening interviews are available now; more interview types (technical, behavioural, case study, and more) are on the way.
For Recruiters
How does company verification work?
From your recruiter dashboard, submit your CAC registration document along with your business details (nature of business, address, CAC number, and your role at the company). This goes to our review team as Pending; once approved, your account shows as a Verified company.
Do I need to be verified before I can post a job?
No — you can submit a listing any time, verified or not. But every recruiter submission goes into a review queue and starts as Pending regardless, so nothing you post goes live without our team reviewing it first.
What's the difference between Internal and External applications for a job I post?
External sends applicants to a link you provide (your own careers page or ATS) — we just point people there. Internal keeps applicants on NextLevel Hub: they apply directly through us, you can attach screening questions specific to the role, and you review every applicant from your recruiter dashboard.
How do I review applicants and schedule interviews?
Your Applicants page lists everyone who's applied to each of your Internal listings, with their answers to any screening questions. From there you can message a candidate, move their status along your pipeline, and schedule an interview — which automatically creates a private video room you both join with a link, no separate software needed.
Technical Issues
Why do I keep getting asked to verify a new device on every login?
This usually means the device-recognition cookie isn't sticking around between visits — most often caused by private/incognito browsing, a cookie-blocking extension, or a browser set to auto-clear cookies. Allow cookies for nextlevelhub.xyz and the "new device" prompt should stop appearing once you've verified it once.
What file types and sizes are accepted for uploads?
Resumes accept PDF, DOC, or DOCX up to 5MB. Company verification documents and contact-form attachments accept PDF, JPG, or PNG, also up to 5MB. Every file is automatically scanned before it's accepted, so an upload can occasionally be rejected as a security precaution even if the file itself is legitimate — if that happens, try a different export of the same file.
Why is the whole site showing a maintenance message?
We occasionally put the site into a short maintenance window for updates. This is temporary — please check back in a few minutes.
Why am I not receiving notification emails about new opportunities?
Email notifications for new matching opportunities are opt-in — you need to turn them on in your notification settings and choose your categories first. Even once enabled, the default frequency is weekly digests, not instant, unless you specifically switch to daily or instant.
I found a bug — how do I report it?
Use the Contactform and pick "Report a bug" as the category — include a screenshot if you can (there's an attachment option) and as much detail as possible about what you were doing when it happened. Our team looks at every report.
