The Georgetown University Global Human Development (GHD) Scholarship Program funds a fully funded two‑year Master’s degree that equips students with quantitative expertise, subject‑matter knowledge, and a robust client‑project portfolio. Through a blend of coursework, internships, extracurricular activities, and hands‑on field work, scholars gain the tools needed to tackle the complex challenges of global development.

Who can apply
A Bachelor's degree.
Completion of introductory macroeconomics, microeconomics, and statistics, with a grade of B or better (or the equivalent under a different grading system).
Students must complete these requirements before enrolling in the program.
Applicants who have not yet completed the required courses are not at a disadvantage during the admissions process because applications are evaluated holistically.
Ability to function effectively in English and one other language. Students must pass an oral proficiency exam before graduation, so ideally they should have a reasonable command of one foreign language before entering the program.
1–2 years of full-time work experience after an undergraduate degree is strongly recommended.
Experience living, studying, and working outside of the United States is strongly recommended.
